Kate’s Kitchen with Kids: Bang Bang Cauliflower
WOW, I bet you never thought cauliflower could taste so good! Serve this as a side dish, a party dish or as an entree!
Number of Servings: 4
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons siracha (siracha is very spicy – so use only 1/2 tablespoon for a mild version of this recipe)
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
3 tablespoons honey
1 pound cauliflower florets
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 eggs
2 tablespoons water
1 cup panko
2 tablespoons Wildtree Garlic Galore
3 tablespoons Wildtree Natural Grapeseed Oil (or olive oil)
Method of Preparation:
In a small bowl combine the siracha, rice vinegar, and honey; set aside.
Set up a breading station by placing the cornstarch in a bowl, beat the eggs and water together in a second bowl, and combine the panko and Garlic Galore in a third bowl.
Toss each floret in the cornstarch, shaking off any excess, dip in the egg, then coat in the panko mixture.
Heat Grapeseed Oil in a medium skillet over medium to high heat.
Cook the breaded cauliflower on all side until nicely browned, transfer to a paper towel line plate to drain off any excess oil. Toss the cauliflower in the siracha mixture. Serve.
